In Their Own Words

"Be kind." "Keep trying." "Never give up." Written in the girls' own handwriting, these commitments show what they're learning at practice: how to encourage themselves and each other. Through running and lessons on positive self-talk, friendship, and gratitude, they're building confidence they use every day.

 Because of you, MHY made it possible for 15 girls to join Girls on the Run by paying their program fees at Chimborazo, Woodville, and Westover Hills elementary schools in Richmond. This fall, your support reached 30 more girls at Albert W. Patrick III Elementary in Hampton and John Adams Elementary in Northern Virginia.

That’s 45 girls who showed up, made friends, and started to see what they’re capable of.
